Our Day in SLC

Our Aunt Sandie took us to Salt Lake City last Saturday. First we went to the big downtown library. The children's area was the coolest. This is us in the "attic" areaHere we are reading
This area was outside a little cave that had painting and was kinda windy
This is the water wall
This is was the crystal cave
the coolest skylight

This is the best part of the library the Glass Elevator - just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory -kinda
Then we went to the roof and went down the long stairs that went all across the building
Pretty picture of the new and the old - Sandie said it was called the City County Building
Playing in the water
Cooling off in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building
We then got to watch a newly wed couple making their wedding video
Making a wish in one of the fountains
In the church museum they had a primary area
We loved the nursery... you get to play with babies

The fountain was fixed and working - last time we came it was broken
We then went to find Aunt Janna and Amy who were working in the church office building and visited while they ate lunch... we saw that the missionaries were letting people go up to the top. So we went the fastest elevator ever. (brenna)

Brenna has a problem

First we'll show a picture or our 2nd annual yard sale... we're earning money for Disneyland.
Now on to Brenna's problem...
Yes, Debra is her mother.
Yes, she is only 5, and already has her "phone" with her everywhere she goes.
Yes, she talks and texts on her Cinderella phone. (Abby does too). It's free now, but we suggest Deb open a savings account her their cellphone bills soon.

She's checking her pictures.... if she wasn't so cute, we might be worried about her.

Our afternoon at the Zoo

Aunt Sandie bribbed us this week, if we did our chores then she would take us to the zoo
Here are some of our favorite pictures
Two Turkey's found the 2 Turkey's!
Check out all the animals we saw
We had sooo much Fun ... Brenna couldn't even stay awake
* Side note:
Brenna's funny for the day, she really wanted to ride the train. I kept trying to distract her from it, by giving a ton of excuses why we didn't need to ride it. She said she was tired of walking and needed to ride the train to feel better. I told her that the train didn't really go anywhere, it just went in a circle. "But a circle is my favorite shape", only Brenna.

LIVE!

Abby & Brenna have amazing imaginations and this afternoon, they were "pretending" to be two of their favorite Food Network stars... Rachael Ray & Giada (thanks to Aunt Janna whom they watch it with). We were in hysterics watching them, so we had to video them and their frist cooking show ever! I really do love their imaginations and how creative they are!

sisterly love

I've often said that my girls play really well together and they fight even better, but here is proof that they do love each other. Abby has been learning how to read at school and being that they are only 15 months (and 1 day) apart in age... Brenna is always wanting to do exactly what Abby is doing. I just thought it was so cute watching Abby help Brenna sound out the words and assist her in learning how to read.

HANNAH MONTANA!

The big news/birthday present for Brenna was going to the Hannah Montana 3D concert up at the IMAX theater! I think I hoped that my girls would have been fooled by the concert on screen vs. the real thing and I should have known better. They for sure loved it, but both of them made comments that they now want to go to the real Hannah Montana concert... not the movie one. Too bad I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get tickets in the first 4 minutes before being sold out, and too bad I'm not insane enough to spend the top dollar amount of $2500 for tickets to the SLC show a few months ago. Maybe one day...

It was really well done and seeing a movie in 3D again (last one I remember seeing was Captain E O @ Disneyland... sad!) was really cool! I was told that the theater was sold out, but it was anything but that. We laughed at 2 girls and 2 MOMS who were in full Hannah Montana gear holding posters and dancing the whole time! They were a riot!

Okay- so here's the video of Brenna when I told her. The excitement elevated after I turned off the video of course, but this still makes me laugh:
(if the video doesn't work- click on the link. I'm kind of retarted at making these things work.)

This was her excited screaming face!

Waiting in the lobby to go in!

They've updated 3D glasses (since the red and blue ones) and had an insane fan who drove 10 hours in a snow storm to come to this "movie" take our picture!

This makes me laugh because they were both sitting so patiently waiting through the previews, but look so bored! It just wasn't show time yet, so I'm sure they really were bored.
